Hi there, I had my boobs done in Malaysia through Gorgeous Getaways in May this year and Im absolutely thrilled with the results! Gorgeous Getaways (GG) did an incredible job of coordinating the whole trip from recommending the right accommodation for me and my needs to picking me up from the airport and coordinating transport for all my consultations and surgery. There were about 12 people having surgery at the same time and GG ensured that a nurse visited my apartment every day following the surgery, I had 3 free massages and daily contact from the coordinator just checking in to see that I was okl. I have also had a number of follow up emails and cards since returning to NZ agains making sure I am completely happy with everything. GG were faultless in their coordinationg and service and my experience was that they delivered far more than I expected.
I was fortunate to have Dr Heng do my breast augmentation and like most people, I was pretty worried about having my surgery overseas. However I spent hours trawling through the internet looking for anything I could find about Dr Heng and I only found excellent reports. I was very relieved when I met with him to find that he spoke excellent English and was extremely patient and knowledgeable and didnt seem to mind my endless questions. I have also emailed Dr Heng since my return and was pleasantly surprised to get a response within 24hours. My implants were making strange noises, which apparently is quite normal; and as predicted stopped soon after. I was initially really worried about over seas surgery, however they more I looked into it, the more I realised that these surgeons are specialists in their felids, this is all they do. COnversely, if you have them done at home, the surgeons do other work as well such as faces and hands, therefore are not as specialised.
I am in regular contact with a number of the girls who I met having work done in Malaysia and they are all thrilled with the results and some have booked with GG to have additional work done. The only word of advice I would give and with applies to having surgery done anywhere, make your your expectations are realistic. You are having a breast 'enhancement' not getting someone elses breasts. so, if you have imperfections, like one sits slightly higher or larger, then this is likely to be the case following the surgery too. Having said that, one of my boobs were slightly larger and while it still is, the sizes have evened out more and it isnt noticeable unless I pointed it out. The other thing is, be informed, like you are. From what I have read, most of the time that someone is not happy with the results, they were unrealistic with their expectations and they are often uninformed.
